Hualalai Current Status Report issued Oct 15, 2006 16:08 HST - Alert Level NORMAL - Aviation Color Code GREEN
Report by the Hawaiian Volcano Observatory for October 15, 2006:
Hualalai is not erupting. The damaging earthquakes that occurred this morning offshore of the northwest part of Hawai`i Island did not produce any measureable changes in Hualalai volcano. While we have only one seismometer on the volcano, it is not picking up any unusual earthquake activity other than aftershocks from this morning's quakes.
Unless there is a change in this situation, this will be the final status report posted for Hualalai on the effects of today's earthquakes.
